Weigh In #2

O.M.G. Weighed in yesterday morning  and guess what? I was up +3.4 lbs!!!!! I could not believe it!!! The only thing I can tell I did different is this past week I dipped into my Weekly Points that WW allows you to have, and man oh man was that ever a mistake! I am so disheartened right now. I will write more later when I won't be so down...

Weigh-In

Yesterday I had my first weigh-in since returning to the dieting/bloggin world a week ago (going to try and weigh in every Tuesday) and it wasn't bad I guess but I was hoping for more, but aren't we always? So I am down -1.4 lbs this first week back. It is depressing to think I had already lost this weight earlier this year, 5 more lbs for my all-time low so far...I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

I was craving some protein this morning so I had an omelet with 1 egg, some egg whites, 2 slices bacon, spinach and little shredded cheese (sorry about orange plate!):

Later...dang!!!! I had some VERY good grilled chicken for lunch and was so hoongry I forgot to take a picture. Trust me, it was some good protein. I also had a couple of Nabisco Fig Newtons to take care of some need for a sweet.

It continues to be hot and humid here. I will be glad when it is time to make soup. I love all different types of soup but the thought of it right now is blech with this heat. It is hard to believe fall is just a few weeks away. That is my favorite time of year.

Haven't been smiling alot lately, here is a picture of my youngest niece, she always makes me smile--

Back from the Weekend

Didn't do so good this weekend, didn't track any points so I am fixing to try and "remember' and write it down best I can. I got home and got sad and side-tracked.  I didn't binge or anything, I just ate more than I should have. Jacob was sick all weekend, we haven't slept good in weeks due to night-time issues with medication in his pump, plus had family issues going on and work has been a volcanic, molten-lava filled pressure point for quiet awhile now...whine, whine, whine....I want to do much better this week and plan on exercising more. I know that helps in managing stress.

Did anyone try anything good yet on plan this weekend? I have been reading about the new Fiber One Brownies and think I may get some to have on hand with the chocolate monster hits.  How do these things taste? These look pretty good (but only a few bites!)

Started the day off with a Bagel Thin with some peanut butter and Polander's All Fruit grape jelly, 1% milk:
Lunch was a cheeseburger with 1/2 whole wheat bun, lite mayo, onion and one sweet pickle, with some raw carrotts (and yes I dipped those carrots in ketchup!):
Addition:
Ran out at lunch and bought me some Fiber One Brownies as pictures above: 3 points per the 3 bites!

What kind of snacks do ya'll turn to when it gets down and dirty?

Bleh...

Not alot to post about today, it is hot and humid once again, we didn't get much of a reprieve. Lot's of stressors today and I have had to fight to keep from eating anything and everything. So far I am still within my points so that is a positive. Hope everyone else is doing good.

Here are the eats so far: Bagel Thin with "fried" egg, didn't get to the nanner, I may get all wild and eat it later.

There is no picture of lunch, that went down the shoot too fast but it was a homemade pizza on wheat pita bread, few pepperoni slice, some low-fat monsterella and alot of spinach leaves. It was pretty tasty. Later in the afternoon I wanted to eat, eat, eat so I ended up having about 5 peanut butter pretzel nuggest with some Crystal Lite.

Dinner is just sliced apple and peanut butter:

That's my Thursday, see you guys tomorrow...maybe I won't feel so BLEH....

Today is What?

I cannot believe it is already August 17th, this year is flying by. Thinking about that also makes me sad that I quit trying there for awhile and lost that time I could of been striving for healthy. It amazes me it took me several months to lose 6 lbs and I yet I was able to put 6 lbs on in about 4 weeks. No use in whining about it, pick up, brush off and move on...
Started this morning out with a Green Monster and it was sour this time, I think it must have been the orange, but I drank it anyway because I NEEDED IT:
Got to work and a friend had made a "Low Fat Fruit Tart" and I had a small piece of that with some coffee (got some more fruit in) pretty good stuff even though it doesn't look too pretty, but I am still hungry, no protein this morn, gonna try and make it until lunch!
Lunch consisted of baked chicken breast with  Crash Hot Potatoes, got the recipe from Mel Gets Fit who got it at Pioneer Woman. It was pretty good, here is the recipe if you want to give it a try:

CRASH HOT POTATOES
  • 12 whole New Potatoes (or Other Small Round Potatoes)
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Kosher Salt To Taste
  • Black Pepper To Taste
  • Rosemary (or Other Herbs Of Choice) To Taste

Preparation Instructions

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add in as many potatoes as you wish to make and cook them until they are fork-tender.
On a sheet pan, generously drizzle olive oil. Place tender potatoes on the cookie sheet leaving plenty of room between each potato.
With a potato masher, gently press down each potato until it slightly mashes, rotate the potato masher 90 degrees and mash again. Brush the tops of each crushed potato generously with more olive oil.
Sprinkle potatoes with kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper and fresh chopped rosemary (or chives or thyme or whatever herb you have available.)
Bake in a 450 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

What's For Breakfast?

I have been reading back through all my tracking earlier in the year and it seems everyday that I eat a good breakfast I have a better day and better week at dropping some. What are some breakfast ideas that you guys depend on?

Here is mine:
Bagel Thin with peanut butter and banana or little jelly, or fried egg
Baked hashbrown topped with 1 scrambled egg, little shredded cheese, 1 slice bacon
Oatmeal or Cream of Wheat
Cereal with 1% milk
Steel-cut Oats overnight in crock pot
Egg McMuffin

My problem is with it being so hot everyday I haven't wanted to fix "hot" food so I haven't been eating the oats and cream of wheat. Today my son wanted a hash brown so I baked a couple and made us what I call "Hashbrown Scramble." I always throw a little Frank's Hot Sauce on there.

What do you think of that Scooby Doo plate? Ha!

And here is what is left of  lunch by the time I remembered to take the pic: 2 slices Sarah Lee Delightful Honey Wheat bread, 4 oz. smoked ham, slice of pepperjack, 1 tsp. mayo and alot of spinach leaves, going to have either the banana or a plum after.

Dinner will be baked chicken breast with a salad and I am really hoping to get a walk in this evening.

Hope everybody doing good and did I mention my new Points Plus calculator has now gone bad (2nd one folks!) so I said to hell with it and I have returned to the Flex Points system WW had previously. I have everything I need to follow that program and that's what I am doing!! No more jumping back and forth, the broke PP calculator took care of all of that.

Addition: Need to Get Me Back saying "stay with PP program!" May consider it, but it's going to be WW with all my heart no matter if it's PP or Flex.

New Day, Old Plan

I didn't mean to be MIA yesterday but I ended up having to take the boy on the 21/2 hour trip (one way) to doctor to have medication in pump changed. The first of August the dr totally redid how it entered his body and for the last week it caused major problems at night-time (all night long some nights.) Can't have that with school starting this week. So off we went, my eating wasn't fantastic but it wasn't my worst of late.

I have made a decision that I am going to follow the WW Points Plus plan again and get back where I am eating points that are lower in carbs. I did my best when I followed this plan earlier in the year. Got to get back on the eliptical and start on the water.

Todays Eats so Far:
Bagel Thin with little Brumme and Brown, 1 "fried" egg, 1 slice bacon   7 points (I will add rest of eats later today AFTER I eat them)
Here is a picture from our local newspaper I submitted when I took Jacob back in June to Destin, FL(just a little extra!):
Here is another of us enjoying the last of the day (I really don't have horns, that's just the ocean breeze blowing my locks around my head.)

and if anyone is wondering how the throw away puppy turned out: he's now as big as a pony and living the life of luxuary still at our house, he has his own pool beside ours:

Ya'll have a great day and I will see you again on Monday!!

JOY! JOY! JOY!!!!

I'm back!!!!! I don't know what happened but I have only now been able to post on Blogger after all this time. I am glad it is fixed and hope it doesn't mess up again.

Quickly to the nitty-gritty: Since I found out how bad my son's surgery is going to be I have been in a dark place and in this place I have not tracked, not exercised, nor really cared. I have been low...way low...searching inside to find what I need to get back where I was going. I have gained 7.4 pounds since my lowest number in May. I feel defeated, angery, hurt, fat, depressed, you guys know the drill.  I am tired, so tired and so mad at myself for this. I don't know which way to go, there is one part of me that wants to give WW a chance again, but there is the other part that says Low Carb! But I do know one thing, I tend to stick to WW better than anything and I guess that tells me something.

I haven't been away from all of you. I have been reading blogs daily and watching how everyone is doing. I want to start over now, going to reach down deep, take a big breath and see which way to go. Back at you soon!

This is how I have been feeling lately:
